Music Video Final Draft

This is the final draft of my music video. I have taken the advice given to me at the focus group on board and have reversed some of the firework footage in the overlays. Overall, I am very pleased with the way my music video has turned out as I believe it uses professional editing and conveys the main themes of loneliness and escapism clearly.

Poster Final Draft

This is my final draft of my poster ancillary. Personally, I think that the use of a light leak creates synergy throughout my other texts and creates an overall professional and consistent product. Holding focus groups has allowed me to gain feedback from new perspectives and improve on things I may not have seen otherwise. 

Digipak Final Draft

This is the final draft of my digipak. Personally, I am very pleased with the way it turned out as I think it looks very professional and could pass for a real media product. I like the way I have used synergy by including the earphones and costume from the music video. This makes all three ancillaries look put together and consistent. Furthermore, I also think that the images of birds and the beach symbolise the theme of freedom and escapism that is featured in the video and lyrics. This gives the audience some insight into what the album will be about but does not reveal the main plot. 

Music Video Draft Four Feedback

Today I held my final focus group for my music video. In this session, I was given some final tips on how to improve from my classmates. The main improvement I found from this focus group was to reverse some of the footage of the fire works in all the overalys and not just the ones at the beginning. This will make my overall product look consistant in its editing. 

Poster Draft Four Feedback

Today I held my fourth focus group for my poster. In this session, my main improvements were to:

• Make the date bolder
• Have the name of the album on one line
• Make the smaller information in capital letters as it looks too small
• Add a record label

All of these improvements will be featured in the final draft of my poster.

This is the fourth draft of my music video. I plan to hold a final focus group to find any possible improvements that can be applied to my final draft.

Music Video Draft Three Feedback

Today I held my third focus group for my music video. In this session, the group gave me some improvements on my newly edited version. The two targets I must achieve in my fourth draft are:

• To stabilize some of the shaky shots eg: handheld towards the end. 
• Adjust when Emma open’s her eyes at the end as it is too fast.

I plan to incorporate these new adjustments in my fourth draft.

Digipak Draft Four Feedback

I have held another focus group for my fourth draft of my digipak. In this session received feedback on some of the final areas of improvement. After explaining some of the main themes I was trying to get across in my music video my focus group said that I should change the images of the phone and the light leak to something that symbolises freedom and something that symbolises escapism. Hearing this I have decided to change these images to a bird (as this is a common motif in my video) and to a beach (as this is one of the places displayed in the overlays). Additionally, I also need to add a spine for my digipak and a record label. These are featured of professional albums and including it them my own will make my product polished. I plan to include these new ideas in my next blog which will be the final draft of my digipak.

Above is the fourth version of my digipak. I plan to hold another focus group where I discuss any final improvements that could be made to my digipak in my final edit.
